Ever had a client who thought their new glasses would magically make them see better when they were still wearing sunglasses indoors? It’s like the perfect combination of confidence and confusion! I sometimes wonder if we should hand out a ‘Wear Your Sunglasses Outrageously’ award. Anyone else have funny stories from the shop?
I’ve definitely seen my fair share of those moments — like when someone walks in asking for prescription sunglasses while they’re still shaded indoors… , it drives me nuts! Maybe we should have a light-hearted ‘Reality Check’ card to hand out, just to give ‘em a hint.
You wouldn’t believe how often I see folks trying on new frames while still wearing their sunglasses. I always joke that we should hand out ‘Best Indoor Sunglass Wearer’ badges! @jane_bradford92, ever had someone walk right out of the shop wearing two pairs? That’s a sight to see.
And , it drives me nuts when clients think new glasses can work wonders while still in their shades; i had a guy the other day insisting his new prescription would suddenly eliminate the need for letting in some light. It’s like, come on, vision can’t work that way.
