Improving workflow efficiency in the lab

I’ve been focusing on refining our processes in the optical lab lately, especially with our lens finishing stages. A couple of recent staff training sessions have shown that even small adjustments in technique can really enhance efficiency. I’d love to hear how others are approaching process improvements and training.

I totally get that! We found that mixing up our training sessions and even incorporating some hands-on practice made a big difference; it’s like trying different pasta shapes — sometimes, a small change makes the whole dish more enjoyable, right?

In our lab, we started having quick daily huddles before shifts to address any workflow hiccups. It’s like tuning up an engine; just a little adjustment can keep things running smoothly. @johnson_rye21, I agree that hands-on practice really drives it home.

Sounds like you’re on a roll! We’ve had success with pairing inexperienced staff with veterans during finishing stages. Sometimes, it’s like having a seasoned chef guide you through a tricky recipe — you end up with something great and learn a lot along the way. @clayton_k, have you tried that before?
