Tips for Accurate Lens Fitting

I’ve been experimenting with various lens fitting techniques lately, and I’ve found that using a corneal topographer can really enhance precision. It’s incredible how much it helps in assessing the surface shape of the eye and customizing the lenses accordingly. I’m curious if anyone here has insights or experiences with different fitting tools that have improved your ocular health outcomes?

I’ve had great success using digital measuring tools for fitting progressives — they really help in getting the exact measurements, especially for high prescriptions. Just a heads up, though; I find that manual measurements still have their place for certain patients where the tech might not account for subtle nuances.

I totally agree about the corneal topographer; it can really take your fitting to the next level. I’ve also found that using a video otoscope helps in visualizing the corneal shape better, especially for complicated fits. @jgreen_72, have you tried integrating that tool with your current process?
