Has anyone taken a CE lately that genuinely improved your personalized fitting process? I’m looking at the OptikamPad and Zeiss i.Terminal ABO modules for two credits in March, hoping for content that sharpens vertex distance/face-form/tilt measurements and communication so patients feel the difference at pickup. If you’ve walked out of a course and changed your workflow the next day, which provider was it?
What moved the needle for me after the Zeiss i.Terminal ABO was doing a quick pre-adjust to set about 10° pantoscopic tilt and slight wrap, then capturing data at “habitual wear” and telling patients, “we tuned these to how you wear them” at dispense so the fit matches the numbers. If you’re on OptikamPad, re-run the device calibration weekly so tilt/VD don’t drift, @OP.
I’ve found that using the OptikamPad really helps refine vertex distance measurements, especially when you capture those adjustments right after a fitting. It might even help boost communication at pickup, as patients notice the improvements. Have you tried implementing a quick pre-adjust phase before finalizing the data, like I do?
finding the right CE course can be such a pain! I tried the Zeiss i.Terminal and it was pretty solid for capturing that face-form measurement, but I still feel like I need more hands-on practice after the course, you know? Have you used the OptikamPad yet, @lisa_martin89?
